SU Shutting Down

StumbleUpon, a great social content discovery platform is shutting down on 30th June 2018. This news was released in a blog post, which said that the co-founder Garrett Camp announced the shutting down of the platform. He added that users should migrate to Mix.com (Camp’s latest company). The popular platform, which will soon be closing has served over 60 billion stumbles and 40 million users since its foundation.

Taking care of the giant number of users, Camp has made it possible for them to import SU favorites, tags, and interests. After creating Mix Collections users can easily share them with friends. The team of experts has worked really hard on the features of Mix so that it can be easily used on every browser and smartphone. This is done to support a smooth transition from SU to Mix. When SU is shutting down after a successful journey of 16 years, Mix will take its place by providing obscure yet interesting content. This content search will be based on the recommendation of trusted and known people.

The ever-growing challenge of having fun online has made the creators of SU for taking a shift to Mix. SU followed simplicity and serendipity; however, too simple of a website doesn’t interest the viewers anymore. It is important to enable contextual curation, which is supported in Mix.

When you search for content on Mix, it will deliver results as per your preferences. This feature is unlike SU, as it played a wacky game and landed you on an unexpected page. For this reason, SU was undeniably popular at a time, but it experienced an eventual decline. However, we can expect better performance on Mix.com.

As it would be a little difficult in the beginning to make a changeover, users can find relevant solutions by emailing at support@mix.com.
